Value, Stuff and Memories

Where time stands still,

Memories are treasures,

That we must fulfill.

They hold the key,

To our past and our present,

Without them, we're lost,

In a world so unpleasant.

Stuff is what I crave,

The shiny and the new,

But memories are special,

They always ring true.

In a world of distractions,

And temptations galore,

I cling to my memories,

Like a sailor to shore.

Memories fade,

Like shadows in the night,

But their value remains,

In the stars shining bright.

We may lose our way,

In a sea of regret,

But memories guide us,

To the dreams we've met.
