Times New Roman

A remedy.

By Sergio MuroPublished 7 months ago Updated 7 months ago 1 min read

This is our Roman Empire,

New and improved.

Yes — I think about it,

All the time.

Because we’re witnessing

The pillars collapse.

And yet,

While The Forum stirs to raise arms,

I look closer and wonder:

How amongst the ruins,

On a hill where the republic quarreled,

An olive tree survived the fall.
