The sparking Feather

That one and only one

In the strong and furious gale,

when no one was about,

an observing guy saw,

all of a sudden,

a feather most adorable.

He thought it was the smoothest,

though he never touched it,

it revolved around him,

only for a few seconds,

in a way even he forgot blinking.

Then it disappeared in a flash,

along with the gale,

now he doesn't witness,

at least a glimpse of that,

or its charming scent.

On his way ahead,

after sometime,

another smooth feather,

started following him,

to be precise; still following.

But its sight, scent,

only spark up the memory,

of that smoothest feather,

he saw inside the gale,

just nothing else!

Why doesn't he tend to see,

the beauty of this one,

seems like he needs, the very previous one,

but how to ensure,

that he would ever see it again?

Only just a slight hope,

and a powerful wish is there.

When that strikes his mind,

it sparks up even so high,

so will he see it again?

Very nice poem. It captures the comparative nature of the human mind very beautifully 💗 Instead of enjoying the present it’s often stuck with the fond memories of the past

Your poem beautifully captures the theme of longing and the ephemeral nature of beauty and experience.

I think the lesson is that this fellow needs to be happy with what is there in front of him. Loved your poem. ❣️
