What can I tell thee that thou dost not already know
About the love within my breast that beats anew
Each time I behold your sweet face's ethereal glow?
For thou doth know that within me these feelings grew
When you did tread into my path, wandering there
In summer as the roses grew and while larks did sing.
You reached deep within my being and laid my soul bare
As my heart thunderously beat with a force you did bring.
Tell me that 'tis true for you, my fairest, as well
That the lark doth sing and the love doth beat and grow
Within your heart for me, who lies within your spell,
A servant to you in all as the summer winds do blow.
My truest love, my life I give to thee for more than summer days,
Or if not, alas, pity me the fool who will perish without further delay.
