The Phoenix

Arise

By Gregory AndersonPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

Arise yesterday is over

Opening your eyes is starting over

Adversity has played its part

Placing obstacles making it hard for you to start

Tragedy shall lead you to pain

Like the mystical bird you will rise again

When it seems you have taken all you can take

Remember there is no warmth in that which is fake

Let integrity be your guide

Illuminating that which is buried deep inside

Overcoming the challenges of life’s clashes

Just like the Phoenix you shall rise from the ashes

When the way forward may not seem clear

Internal conflict only serves to create fear

Take one moment to quiet your mind bring your focus back in line

When life has you asking why me

A catharsis is the means by which you will see

Truth cleanses like a fire leaving behind ashes

In its wake the lies that started the clashes

Everyday you have the choice to live anew

Like the phoenix

If you are blessed to arise simply be you

inspirational
