Is my heart too much of an obstacle?
Do you need me to move my voice?
My passion’s, and truths?
Is my opinion bothering you?
Am I too much of a nuisance?
Do I bother you with my rambling?
Personal achievements, and callings?
The ideas in my mind, are they trash?
Maybe to you, not to me.
Do my questions irritate you?
Do I want too much truth?
I won't move. You move.
You won't move, and I respect you for that.
Am I too unbearable?
Am I too dumb for you?

B. A. Durham’s False Memories blends dream and reality in a seamless mix. As his father, afflicted by Alzheimer’s, fades away, the narrator is haunted by a dream that may be a memory, returning to him insistently. The piece is full of wonderful detail (the father touching his lip where once there was a mustache, “but now he is clean-shaven—he has been for years” — and moving in revealing the complexities of a family’s life. A worthy winner which shows the power of dreams to influence us.

This is great! I am eternally amazed by the way so many of us try to tailor ourselves for others. Why do that when there's got to be SOMEONE out there who gets us! I do think "Deal with it" is actually 3 words but otherwise this is awesome! Lol
