The man on the porch
A few homes up there…
He never went anywhere.
Strapped down like he was
Waiting for his execution.
No one visited—
So lonely and meek.
Nothing quite unique
About the man…
Except he rarely went inside.
Unsure if there was something
He had to hide…
A little boy walked onto the man’s porch.
And said, “Hey man, is this your Porsche?
You gotta be nuts to have a
Porsche and never drive it!”
The man answered with a serious tone,
“Young man you should really
Leave me alone.
But since you’re the first to ever ask,
I was in a horrible car crash.
I killed a little girl about your age.
So, this is my cage—
My prison.
I regret having too many drinks.
Make wise choices.
Your life can change in a blink.”
