The Morning Rhapsody

My Perculator

By Gail WyliePublished 11 months ago 1 min read
The only way I like to make coffee.

Each day I wait with baited breath

As you sing the morning song

You start slow,

Adagio

One note at a time

Pausing, as if to remember what comes next

Then two

Three

Four

Five

You find your rhythm

The tempo increases

Allegro

Crescendo

Faster and faster

Leggero to Legato

And with a sudden burst

Fortissimo!

A few soft notes to say goodbye

Diminuendo

Then silence

My magic brew is ready.

Thank you!
