I love to spend my day relaxing
You love a day of adventure
I have never liked the water
I keep my feet on dry land
You’ve loved the water forever
Your feet are always sandy
I’ll read a book in the shade
Leave my hat at the door
You’ll wear a wetsuit to fish
Swim the ocean for kicks
I like to sit in my chair
Pen a poem In my daze
You would hike up the rocks
Explore the creatures a foot
I love to pick pretty seashells
And feed the birds all our chips
You like to wrestle with seaweed
And rescue stranded fish
I love a cozy couch on a warm day
I adore the rain from my front deck
You love to sail on the water
Cruise on the biggest ship
You love to carry my sea shells for me
I love to be the light you follow home each night.

About Writing
Most people talk about things that bother them as a way to vent their emotions, another way is through writing. As I sit writing in my car, I ponder how much writing, in itself, has helped me become the person I am today. I have endless amounts of pages filled with poems, stories, and sometimes random blurbs. Writing is a window into your soul. The simple action of writing has benefited me; by helping me to achieve a better memory, helping me to learn and grow intellectually, and helping me to communicate my emotions.
