The Kennel Club

They won't throw you to the wolves...

The kennel club is full of dogs,

They attack to survive, there's no time for pause.

Digging holes in others, unable to scratch their own surface;

Their noses filthy - but, for what purpose?

Starve the bitches and they will turn on one-another;

To win dominance, the mongrel mauls his unsuspecting brother.

Obsessed with their master, they drool and bootlick -

Instinctively saving themselves from a future they cannot predict.

Chasing their tail, only to find the same old shit,

Roving until they discover the parasites in their clique.

Consuming the raw, craving the rancid -

Feeling deprived if they don't find a single maggot.

Dogs don't discriminate, until they let you in,

The thirst the new blood - drives them insane.

Trust, they won't throw you to the wolves,

They intend to devour you themselves.

The kennel club is full of dogs,

Learn to dominate, or they'll feast on your corpse.

About the Creator

Jollyoddbod Poetry

Here I am, and here I'll stay;

Like the moon in the darkness that refuses to fade.

Clouds will cover, but cannot take from my reign;

Mark this as the moment that they realise, as they scoff with distain.

They fell asleep, I cannot be blamed.

    This made me feel sad, but there is truth to how the world and nature works, I see. Your topic of choice was fascinating to me and your writing is great!
