Today a jabberific jilly jay

Set out a squall, squawkering up a beat

Within a patch of hilly grass it brayed

jaw-kaw joo-koo jah-wah kee-nee-kaw keet

But what does that mean said I to the thing

the jay looked at me with pretentious might

it bent and twisted like it was a king

and sent me into a flurplous fright

the inconsiderate beast's breadth grew wide

til it was as large as a swollen loon

it squawked and brayed it misbehaved and cried

and squeezed out an egg the size of a moon
