Middle Ground

The wound just didn’t make the cut

The bitterness will pass

The sadness makes me a little bit deeper

But what’s hard is the in between

I can weather the storm

I can wipe my tears

I can go on living for years and years

But I break and bleed when I lack a dream

and I'm forced to live in the in between

I can hear all lies and still know the truth

I will face my trauma even down to the root

But I shudder with fear when the path’s

Unclear and I walk alone in the in between

About the Creator

Kt

I embarked to my favorite coastline several years ago in search of feeling in a dark season and accdientally wrote a poem. I have written ever since.

Poetry is what my friends know me for, but words burn in my bones.
