The Gossip Heart

Pulling others down to ride

By Joseph Aragbaiye Published 6 days ago 1 min read

The gossip heart, a vessel of strife,

Spreads rumors and lies, and cuts like a knife.

It whispers secrets, and shares with glee,

The personal struggles, of you and me.

With every word, it fans the flames,

Of hatred and anger, and endless games.

It thrives on drama, and feeds on fear,

Leaving hearts broken, and tears to appear.

But listen close, to the gossip heart,

And you'll hear the echoes, of a soul apart.

A heart that's hurting, and searching for fame,

Through the ruin of others, it seeks to proclaim.

So let's be mindful, of the words we say,

And guard our hearts closely, every single day.

For the gossip heart, may seem fun and light,

But its consequences, can lead to endless night.
