The Fissure

A tapestry woven with threads of gold,

Our love once bloomed, a story yet untold.

We built a haven, hearts intertwined,

Two melodies in perfect harmony we'd find.

But whispers rose, like shadows on the wall,

Disagreements grew, a teetering fall.

Dreams once aligned, now drifted far apart,

A silent tension, tearing love's soft art.

The Cracks Appear

Conversations stilted, smiles strained and thin,

Words unspoken, a chasm set within.

Once vibrant laughter, now a hollow sound,

Lost in a fog where solace can't be found.

Memories surface, bittersweet and bright,

Sunlight on beaches, dancing through the night.

Promises whispered, etched in youthful eyes,

Now fractured fragments, beneath a tearful guise.

The Unraveling

Distance crept in, a slow and steady pace,

Empty spaces where warmth used to embrace.

Touch became hesitant, a fearful thing,

Love's melody unraveled, a discordant string.

We built our fortress, but forgot the key,

Lost in the maze, unable to agree.

Blame, a serpent, slithered through the core,

Poisoning trust, leaving doubt to explore.

The Seismic Shift

The final words, a tremor in the air,

Shattering the world, a love beyond repair.

Tears, a deluge, washing away the past,

Leaving behind scars, memories built to last.

Furniture shrouded, a ghost of what we knew,

Empty echoes where dreams and laughter grew.

The silence screams, a deafening display,

Of shattered promises, love's agonizing decay.

The Aftermath

We walk alone, on separate winding roads,

Carrying burdens, heavy, unspoken loads.

Will shadows linger, or will light ignite?

Can new beginnings rise from darkened night?

The future beckons, a canvas yet unseen,

Will forgiveness bloom, a verdant, healing green?

Or will hearts remain, forever split in two,

A constant reminder of what love used to do?

The Unseen Threads

Though severed now, the threads may mend unseen,

Woven through time, a tapestry, evergreen.

Love's essence lingers, a bittersweet perfume,

A haunting melody, echoing in a room.

We'll carry pieces, fragments of the past,

Lessons learned, that forever will hold fast.

May grace and kindness pave the way ahead,

For even endings, seeds of hope can shed.

The Uncertain End

The path remains unclear, shrouded in the mist,

Will hearts find solace, or forever be dismissed?

Only time will tell, the story's yet to write,

Of two divided hearts, bathed in fading light.

But one thing's certain, in this bittersweet refrain,

Love's echo lingers, though the fire may wane.

And though we part ways, beneath the summer sky,

A single truth remains, the love that used to fly.
