The Dreaded Cold

How I am feeling at the moment formed into a renga poem

By Chloe GilholyPublished 8 months ago Updated 8 months ago 1 min read

Dear Vocal Diary,

I had a pleasent weekend

With books, golf and games

📖

In Oxford, I learned Renga

Haikus and couplets married

✍️

I met up with friends

In a round of pussy out

I’m not sucking toes

🦶

The winter air froze us all

So we warmed up with more booze

🥃

I shocked the gang hard

When I asked for tap water

I’m on a health kick

💦

Ketchup and ice cream; not good

Fries dipped in milkshake:success

🍟

How did these bottles

Of ketchup land in my bag?

I did put them back.

🥫

Jolly Rodger’s was lovely

Hopefully we will come back

👮‍♀️

Now I have a cold

Chasing everybody else

They went the wrong way

😷

I cancelled my fitness class

I need hot tea and a bed

🛌

Sounds like a crazy fun weekend. Take care of that cold so you can enjoy another fun and crazy weekend soon.
