They self-medicated with it.

They worshipped it.

They used it to tune out the noise in their heads.

They knew it better than they knew themselves.

They prized it above their loved ones.

They loved it dearly.

They gazed at it throughout the day.

They spent so much time before it.

They laughed at it.

They were very entertained by it.

It made them depressed.

They cursed at it.

They made fun of it.

They danced before it.

They learned from it.

They replaced it.

They threw it away.

They used it to escape reality.

Because reality was not as exciting...
