Tears of the Ocean

- Hearing the Depths: A Journey through the Sea's Anguish

By Dawnxisoul393artPublished about a month ago 2 min read

The sea, in silent sorrow

sheds its tears

Its azure depths

now churned by mighty fears

Powerful waves, they toss and turn

Casting human beings

into the ocean's burn

For they do not belong

to the vast blue expanse

Yet the sea, with great force

returns them to land's stance

I hear the waves, in battle

fiercely fighting

No

that is the sea's final plea

its voice igniting

"Humanity, please

put down your heavy hand!

Let the sea, once more

be pure, as nature planned

Let the earth, too

reclaim its rightful grace

Free from the burdens

that you so brazenly place"

The sea, it cries out

its voice trembling with pain

For it has borne witness

to humanity's disdain

The waves, they crash and churn

a symphony of strife

Begging for the chance

to restore balance and life

Yet, time and time again

we have turned a deaf ear

Exploiting the sea's bounty

with nary a fear

We have polluted its waters

with waste and with greed

Disregarding the cries

that the sea does so plead

/

The sea, it is a mirror

reflecting our own

A testament to the damage

that we have sown

Its depths, once teeming with life

now lay in decay

As we continue to ravage

without care

day by day

/

But the sea

it refuses to give in to despair

For it knows that within us

lies a glimmer of care

It beckons us to listen

to heed its urgent call

To put down our burdens

and stand tall

/

For in the sea's embrace

we find our own salvation

A chance to restore, to heal

and find our true station

It is a guardian

a teacher

a provider so true

It yearns for the day

when we'll honor it anew

/

The waves, they crash and surge

a final desperate plea

"Humanity, please hear us

let the sea once more be free!"

They beg for our understanding

our compassion, our love

A chance to reclaim

the balance, from above

/

We must answer

the sea's anguished call

To protect its purity

to heed its need for all

For in doing so

we safeguard our own future

so dear

The sea's sorrow

it will slowly, but surely

disappear

The sea, it weeps in silence

its tears a bitter rain

But within its depths

lies the power to regain

If we but listen

and heed its desperate plea

We can restore the balance

and let the sea

once more

be free!

Postscript:

The sea's anguished cries have reverberated through our very souls, compelling us to confront the harsh realities of our own actions and their devastating impact on this vital, life-giving force of nature. The sea's message is one of both urgency and possibility, it demands that we shed our indifference, our greed, and our disregard for the natural world that sustains us. But in doing so, it also offers us a chance at redemption, a pathway towards a future where the oceans and the lands can once more thrive in harmonious splendor. Let the sea's lament be the catalyst for a global awakening, a rallying cry that inspires us to protect the very lifeblood of our world. The sea's words have been spoken – it is up to us to listen, to heed, and to act, before it is too late.
