Tea Time

Steamy Waters

By Jamie WilkinsonPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Tea bags still soaking

in chipped porcelain,

pecking at cracks,

and caressing stains

that linger in molars.

Finely ground specs,

those murky lovers

swim in slow circles,

synchronized spirals

that sing like sirens.

Eyes follow tenderly,

glazed with steam

and melting sugars,

still sipping away

at sunken lullabies.
