the honey
dripping from your lips
has never tasted so sweet.
it fills my belly with warmth
and turns my heart mellow
your touch is quiet
gentle like flower petals
i barely notice it
caressing me
because you do not sting.
i wait for
the tiny prick of pain
so I do not fill my insides
until your warmth does not fit
and the honey from your lips
turns bitter
paralyzes my limbs
and i cannot move
because i am drowning
in pools of your sweetness
that is no longer sweet
feeding on the poison
that is eating my soul.
you are sweet.
