Sunglasses

:)

By katyPublished about a month ago 1 min read

Sunglasses on, the world looks bright,

Shades of cool in the summer light.

A shield against the sun's fierce rays,

Guardians of our carefree days.

Perched upon the nose with flair,

They lend an air of stylish care.

Reflections dance on mirrored glass,

As moments in the sun surpass.

Frames of black or tortoise shell,

Each pair with a story to tell.

From aviators’ classic gleam,

To wayfarers’ timeless dream.

In beachside scenes where waters gleam,

Or city streets where people stream,

Sunglasses cast a shaded view,

A lens through which we see anew.

Eyes concealed, a mystery,

Yet revealing our history.

They mask the gaze, yet amplify,

The spark within, the secret sigh.

Driving down a sunlit road,

Shades in place, our faces glowed.

The landscape shifts in hues so soft,

As we journey forth, aloft.

In every glare they stand their ground,

Turning harsh light’s brilliance down.

Through tinted world, the colors blend,

With sunglasses, the eyes defend.

When summer ends and days grow cold,

In memory, the shades we hold.

A symbol of those sunlit hours,

Of youthful days and blooming flowers.

So let us wear them, light and free,

A testament to days we see.

For in their shade, the world’s a song,

Where every note, we belong.
