Awakening almost, my mind's bolts and gears, motionless
Perhaps just for an instant, peace and quiet-
This morning I idle by the window
the rising sun shining on my face
I close my eyes; my thoughts, blank, at peace,
tranquility!
Yet I am mere moments before work
another day of busy self-actualization
of creative endeavors, of proper behavior-
The almost (dare I say) naive part of me whispering;
''Bliss comes not from power, but from a careful balance,
between the inner, ideal self and the outer, factual self...''
Much akin to a dance, a compromise, an intricate
weaving of the mind and the world
the higher ideal and the outer actual,
coalescing, striving;
Becoming who one truly is, who one wishes to be,
bliss at last-
