Silly Little Dragon

You should have known.

By Nikki WildFirePublished 7 years ago 1 min read
As the beast tries to no longer be a monster in the eyes of the world, it fades away, bit by bit, no longer being part what it truly is. A beautiful tragedy.

Silly dragon,

Why do you cry?

Silly dragon,

Why did you believe.

Silly dragon

They brought fire alive,

Then took your flame.

Now you are deprived.

Silly dragon,

No one loves you.

Silly dragon.

You should have known.

Silly dragon,

Now alone

Without a place called home.

Silly dragon,

It’s all your fault.

You cared too much,

You love too rough.

Silly dragon,

What are you?

Silly dragon,

Beaten and bruised.

Silly dragon,

All you wanted was warmth

Now you’re alone, tortured and scourged.

Silly dragon,

I now see why you cry,

A tooth for a tooth, and eye for an eye.

Silly dragon,

We should make them pay,

Wrought upon the ones who may.

Make us feeble and weak and hurt and cry.

Unleash your fury, take to the sky.

Silly dragon,

I am hurting too,

Let’s bring forth a reckoning, me and you.
