SERENDIPITY

for you

Your erect posture

Beside me

Gazing my eyes persistently

Or perhaps imagining the shape of my lip

Your eyes could stipulate it,

Very well

.

When the rain got heavier

You, still standing here

Close to me

As I was preparing to be off

You not liking the idea of it; maybe

.

Yet I asked for umbrella

When you replied with,

“Ah I like the rain”

Which was ‘my’ favorite phrase to say

And ‘you’ remembered it very well

Knowingly or guess unknowingly

.

I knew you could see me blush

Behind the mask

I wanted to say,

“I like you even deeply now”

Yet, I knew you were well known already

.

The realization hit later

After signing off, at a junction

When rain stopped instantly

‘Oh! It rained just for us’

I was sure this time

You’re a fortunate serendipity
