Roman Empire

A jaded "nonet" love poem

Our empire’s in ruins, all is burned -

All. Lost. in verse. My love language

was words when you stayed silent,

your need for service was

our curse. I failed to

build you up ‘cause

“I love you”

wasn’t

heard.

Same as Dharr...that line. But really...I'm loving all these ancient, Biblical and historical pieces you're doing for the challenge - gives a greater sense of weight to the loss, to the pain...Well done, Gina!

  • A great take, I am avoiding these and will try not to post another (you know what I am like with short form stuff) , but I really liked this
