Reminince

a syllabic poem of my own design.

By Jennisea RedfieldPublished about a month ago 1 min read

Look

At me.

I have so

Many dreams to

Share. But I do not

Have anything to give

To those who have taken my

Lofty desires and snapped them.

And I shall emulate the beauty

That resides deliciously in my head.

And yet my dreams are trying to break free,

Like high-flying doves made of ether.

Razor sharp, like obsidian.

A weapon, an unmarked blade.

A gift that is just mine,

Separate from you.

That is a dream,

My idea,

Justly,

Mine.

Love this. I really like the tone you created using the short lines.

I loved the short going to long and then reversed, as well as the message! Well done.
