REFLECTIONS

Looking into  the mirror,

At my reflection staring back at me;

I think of all the things about

Myself I could have changed.

My hair, makeup, style & personality.

My  sensitive heart was wounded in a battle that I lost.

Leaving me to bleed internally.

I'm having to face the future alone;

To the world My emotions  I keep on the down low.

I miss what I had;

A companion, the kissing & holding hands.

But I'm determined  to never look back,

To a relationship where appreciation  was lacked.

I'm done with him cheating, the lying & the crying.

Just going to stay focused & keep on trying.

I'm over u;

I guarantee that to be true.

All it took was the right pair of shoes ;

For me to conquer the world.

And to reclaim what I

Lost in myself.

I'm no ordinary girl.
