I think my neighbour is like my ex

I talk to her

We seem the same

But the things she says

Red Flag

A little

off

Like,

she got a divorce

and it's such a struggle

She has to go through an app

to talk to her ex

.... She's the one who doesn't want to go through the app...

Red Flag

I'd love to have an app,

to talk to my ex

But apparently,

my struggle wasn't real enough

We're okay now,

I guess...

but in the beginning...

Red Flags

They were everywhere

Why didn't I see them?

So, I told her about my struggle...

I thought she'd understand...

But I think my struggle

had been husband's

Red Flag

She tried hard for her kid

but is displeased in having her

She doesn't get her enough,

her daughter doesn't get the vacation she deserves...

Her daughter backtalks...

She sarcastically says

"And now I have her"

Red Flag

I don't catch the sarcasm

She turns around

Continues digging

in her garden...

Hi! ^_^

My name is Hillery, with an 'e.' Nice to meet you. I'm new here but I've been writing poetry and flash fiction since I was a child. I like to write in the way that I think, so I guess it's kind of stream-of-consciousness at times.
