"Passing a note

from one year to another,"

the melody said to the singer,

"is an art

which will outlive you all."

"Amassing motes,"

sang the singer to his brother,

"old symphonies which poignantly linger

in our hearts,

no force on this Earth could forestall."

A counterpoint

to every worldly atrocity

is the song which is spawned in its wake.

Never one,

but a concourse to seal the wound.

Perceiving the joint

composition's velocity,

the emboldened brother thusly spake

to his son:

"All the love in the world poured into this tune."

About the Creator

Jacob Sherman

The desire to read, and perhaps to write, should be cultivated and nurtured with care throughout every stage of life. For my part I will inject what strangeness and truth that I can into our written history. Expect no constants but honesty.

That was very, very good! A crystalline purity.
