Pristine Sistine

A Poem

By Phoenix BlackleyPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Pristine Sistine

Sweet little six things,

The chapel of Michael,

-angelo in the wings

Angel wings for her birthday,

A vacation for your thoughts

Time and time

You try and find

Their equivalent in the North.

The lack of cohesion

Yields no solid reason

It’s not clear to me

The link between both.

This bonding block

Has to stop

I have a deadline to meet

But all I think of

When in need of

Are the sunny, scalding streets.

The aching sun and the sweaty shorts

Floating trousers and shaded spots

Budapest or Rome

No time to phone

Those girls who live at home.
