Perfection

A Poem

By Sarah HoldsworthPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

There’s this idea.

It’s in everyone’s head,

Always being heard,

But rarely said.

Barely anyone gets granted this title,

This thing is called perfection,

You get held to standards,

There can be no exception.

What most don’t realize,

Yet some still do,

Is that deep inside us,

None of it is true.

There is no true perfection,

We are all different you see,

We are all beautiful in our own ways,

Just like you, and just like me.

So just be yourself,

Always be true,

Because you are your own perfection,

Don’t let anyone change you.
