People, Please!

People, please! Take a step back, get back in line, one at a time, I know your needs,

but step back, don’t attack, just ‘cause I aim to please and give you what seems to be everything - all - at - once.

I mean, sure, I knew the score because it was me, I created this - this chaotic mess, just don’t push me to the edge, don’t put me to the test.

I’m here, here to please (but wait - am I?) to put your mind at ease, but,

people, please! Would you just step back, get back in line, one at a time, I know your needs,

but do you know mine?

Another spectacular piece. More truth bombs in poetic form from Ms Boyes!

Great work on this. Many times people are just thinking of themselves and not those giving them service!! You spoke it here.

  • This was extremely relatable! Sometimes I get so overwhelmed trying to meet people's needs but my needs tend to be ignored. Loved your poem! Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
