Peeling The Rest Away

And Feeling All Home

Picking at the edges

Where it’s frayed and weather proofed

Standing on the ledges

uncovering my truth

Exacting the best revenge has

Ripped right through my best excuses

So, I’ve made a solemn pledge

To rewrite my own conclusions

A deep and dark dissection

Of the nature of my ways

A improbable misdirection

To capture the essence of my gaze

Casting a new reflection

Wiping away the cosmic haze

To control the minds deception

Explaining how they stay in place

In retrospect my ending

Like my endeavors have to wait

My need to know is sending

My imagination through the gate

Great use of rhyme throughout! The last two lines were very powerful!
