Born from an unexpected journey, I emerged from the depths of a blue jay’s flight, catapulted into a meadow without a sense of direction. Swallowed in haste, I was a seed, a glimpse of my homeland caught in the bird’s gaze as I basked in the warmth of the sun. Fleetingly, I called her Mother, only to pass through her throat like a specter.
In an instant, I became an orphan, trembling and alone in the dirt where I landed. That first night, in the early days of May, the chill of rain enveloped me in my furrow. Desperate, I cried out for mercy, but my plea went unanswered, save for the passing of a wolverine. I cursed my fate, cursed the whims of this world, and caught a whiff of his pungent scent. Yet, he nudged me deeper into the muddy earth, granting me the gift of obscurity. Hidden from the towering giants, the bustling stems, and the vibrant blossoms, I found solace in my anonymity.
For seven days and nights, I persevered, pushing against the weight of the soil. And now, here I am, a testament to resilience-kissable and resplendent in my tiny, purple profusion.
