Pain so deep

A pain so hard and hurtful to feel

By Eiman AsifPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

People say when you die, you never come back to life

That a myth I died many times not just once or twice.

I am dead from inside

you always see me smile but have you seen my other side.

Tears of blood, Ocean of eyes

But neither the heart busts nor the eyes weep

Have you ever seen a pain so deep?

Silently I scream at night.

I feel forlorn on your movie night.

Why do I feel pain and hurt so chaotic?

please kill me be realistic

Don't raise your voice in front of me.

It's ok if you think it as my ego.

cause I don't care, because You never cared about me years ago..

Explanation:

This poem delves into deep and emotional themes, expressing a sense of internal struggle and pain. Here's a brief review:

The opening lines effectively challenge the common belief about death, setting the tone for a personal exploration of emotional demise. The repetition of the phrase "I am dead" reinforces a profound inner struggle.

The contrast between the external smile and the internal turmoil is well-captured, offering readers a glimpse into the complexity of emotions hidden beneath a facade.

The use of vivid imagery, such as "Tears of blood, Ocean of eyes," adds a poignant layer to the portrayal of pain, creating a powerful visual impact. The line "Have you ever seen a pain so deep?" directly engages the reader and prompts reflection.

The mention of silently screaming at night and feeling forlorn on movie nights conveys a sense of isolation and loneliness, deepening the emotional impact of the poem.

The plea to be killed for the sake of realism adds a dark and desperate element, emphasizing the intensity of the emotional experience being described.

The concluding lines bring the poem full circle, addressing a perceived lack of care from others in the past. The defiance in "cause I don't care" contrasts with the vulnerability expressed earlier, creating a poignant ending.
