Go to your knees at the end of day

In some forgotten lonely place

Then join your hands in piety and pray

If you can find no other way

To fill your thirsty soul with grace

Go to your knees at the end of day

When hope has dimmed its final ray

And tears run thickly down your face

Then join your hands in piety and pray

Under skies where planets play

Beneath the empty gap of space

Go to your knees at the end of day

None will hear the words you say

Silent sounds can leave no trace

But join your hands in piety and pray

There’s no better wisdom to embrace

Of this or any other race

So go to your knees at the end of day

Then join your hands in piety and pray
