The interim

By SereniteePublished 6 months ago 1 min read

Do you ever feel like the bubbly, energetic, joyful energy you exude is perceived by others as an indication of minimal pain endured?

That there is an assumption that life has been kind to you since birth?

That your reason for happiness is because you haven't absorbed the darkness of this earth?

And it catapults into a feeding fiesta of misunderstandings due to your chosen silence on deep pains, especially when you see the world around you going insane?

But who's to blame?

We speak on transparency and encourage vunerability in others, we lay out our auras like a warm cosy blanket and invite everyone in, making room for everyone to fit, only to find ourselves sitting on a wet patch of grass.

A true example of a walking contradiction in this instance, my disappointment is immersed in ignorance, I cannot frown when the cup I offered fully, returns to me empty.

I must return the grace back to the reflection peering at me, hoping she'll choose me like I choose others, and admit and understand that the burns from the past haven't fully recovered.

So while I galavant amongst the gardens of souls proclaiming I'm an open book, I must acknowledge that I'm a limited edition, and make peace with my lack of desire to be as accessible, for not everyone has the consciousness to connect with such complexities when they're battling with their own discrepancies.

Here's to honouring the free spirits navigating the limited human experience...

Feel it, channel it, alchemize.
