Oh dear love

for the love I craved, for the love I got , for the love I lost

By simran sadangiPublished 8 months ago 4 min read

Dear readers, this is my debut in the world of poetry, a new genre for me and a new place to explore. I hope you can feel the emotions woven into these lines and forgive any imperfections. Over time, I'll strive to improve and refine my craft. This poem reflects my deepest feelings, a blend of longing and nostalgia for something I once had, and I hope it resonates with you.

Let's begin.

Oh Dear Love

Oh, dear love, where can I find you? Warm me up tonight; I crave you. Feel my heart tonight; it beats for you. Meet me up, oh dear love.

Oh, dear love, you look so fly. Hey, you just caught my eye. Anger so sharp, words are sweet. So where have you been, honey?

Oh, dear love, chasing you I come, begging you to stop. In this world of hate, love is all I've got. Twisting butterflies in my stomach, pinching my heart to make you mine, cracking the ice covering my heart. Oh dear love, here you come.

Oh, dear love, I cried for you, and now that I've got you, destiny snatched you away. We got along so fine; it felt like fine wine. You became my sunshine, and through the dark, we walked out bright, only for you to leave me crying at night.

Oh, dear love, where have you gone?

Oh, dear love, it felt so warm, the touch of heaven, the scents so sweet. Make me all yours, please! Oh dear love, you uncovered my scars, snatched my fears, and made me fall. Your words were the cherry on top. Long hours of talk turned into years we spent. Together we walked, but it's not all, for our love is a journey with an uncertain end, a path we tread, unknown it remains.

Oh, dear love, it's been so long since you've written me a song, making my heart flutter so you can feel it fly. Oh my!

Oh, dear love, an end for a beginning, we met by fate, so random yet so safe, so strange yet felt surreal. Years apart, but boy, did I enjoy the feels.

Oh, dear love, you hear my rants all day and all night, in tears and smiles. I know I annoy. Oh dear love, here we are, craving the touch we imagined from afar.

Oh, dear love, I don't write, but I guess your memory has been in my palm.

Oh, dear love, heavens have left, the pain in my heart, the one you wiped away with a kiss. No kisses left to ease my pain, but I hope to find you again. Oh dear love, with my body so fine, you saw past the curves of mine, a kid in need of love. You held the aching heart.

Oh, dear love, you aren't bad, but it seems our timings don't match. Running paces of life, not so matching times, fates entwined. We crossed paths, only to walk away. Oh dear love, I've got no regrets. Love so pure, it will always feel the best. I could leave behind the rest, only to chase your warmth. But we've got two lives, two souls, too far to reach each other. We turn into something so dark, but all I see is bright.

Oh, dear love, a smile to melt for, the sleep I slept for, the kiss I'd die for, the touch that makes me feel alive, running through my nerves, only to disappear into the chaos of the lives we fear, ahead of us.

Oh, dear love, I know you have to go, away from me, taking the warmth I felt, taking my peace that you held. Once again, an aching heart, only in a new mind. You taught me so much; I will forever be grateful for all that love does.

Oh, dear love, you were my life, the red blush covering my cheeks, happy and held high. You will soon turn into crying red eyes.

Oh, dear love, words would never do us justice, yet they were how we sufficed. My love for you will forever be red, it'll be everywhere you see.

Oh, dear love, what have you done to this sweet little girl? She grew up; she learned so well. The world around craves this love, yet no one can give so much. But my dear love, I gave all I could and as much. I would never regret my tries; this is all I had. But don't you feel guilty; don't you be mad. I am the one who fell for you when all I had to give was only love.

Oh, dear love, time flew out of my hands as I felt confused. The little girl grew up, and with the sunshine now as cold as ice, it's time to kiss you goodbye.
