I’ll never fall in love again
The way the Heartbreak cut me like a Knife…
And Left my Desires Hanging on for Dear life…
When you left me standing Downtown near the MetraStation…
Over the phone I could feel a slight burst of my rage explode inside…
From the desolate Emotions
With a open question still
Lingering in the air…
I remember the feeling…
That I’ll never fall in love again
When My consciousness told me the Things that Reality had Already Shown me…
I tried to Fight against it but,
I started feeling like I’ll never Fall in love again…
I wrote about it and even Sang a Song Or Two
But I’ll send back All My Love to You…
Just too have a Moment with you…
Just Give me back the Butterflies and The Happiest Moments when I Tried…
To teach you how to Love me, and keep hope alive…
The Day I Let you Go… I Remember feeling like I’ll never fall in Love Again
You took away some personal things
Back when you made me take back the trust I conveyed…
My Heart shrank as the tears
Reverberated down my face…
I started feeling like
I’ll never fall in love again…
A long Love letter of the same words over and over…
My mind was all over the place and I couldn’t control it…
When you said you didn’t want me…
Or I was no longer what you need…
I shielded my face so that you wouldn’t see the sympathy…
I had for me…
I was Frozen but I melted with the
Choice I had chosen…
When the season ends
And the leaves 🍁 fall again
I’ll think of our love story but
I wouldn’t know where to begin…
Sitting alone in my room
Complicated Emotions and Collateral Love Faded Away;
The Moment we separated like paper airplanes in the wind…
I knew I’d never fall in love again

The Spring
The sun was high when Lance pulled off the road and into the dusty lot of the service station. The sign back at the hairpin--the first sign in a long time--said they just rolled into Hatter’s Creek, Population 63. It was small enough it didn’t appear on the handmap in Shelby’s lap, yet here it stood, the first backwater township on the fringes of the National Park. The plan was to gas up, restock the snack bag, and press on into the wilderness.
