My mother has demons, they breathe down her neck, taunting, begging her to follow them into the inky depths of her own mind. "Its quiet here" they say with their razor sharp tooth smile, "I just want a little peace" she cried into the dark, they take her by the hand, she starts to float away to their promised land.

On her finally quiet journey, her world begins to brighten, a man in white begins to fight the demons in the darkness. She was taken aback by the scene that unfolded before her, not knowing what to do, she asked the man who he was, he said, "Im the one to rescue you." He felt like home, safety, and all the love that was meant for her and her alone. "Are you ready to come out now? We need to be getting home." Such gentleness that came from him, kind and soothing words.

She awoke in the hospital, surrounded by her girls, tear stained faces met her gaze and the apologies unfurled. The girls begged and pleaded to never do it again for this time a violation occurred. Hidden demons and curdled milk stained the room of her youngest, she could no longer sleep and demons arose in her too.

The man who pulled her out of the dark was sitting at her side, "I was so scared, I thought you were almost going to die." he said and held her hand so tight, the feeling of her husband's hand made everything start to feel alright.

She went home, and put the demons to rest, all she had to do was just do her very best. She continued on that path and asked for help on her hardest days, the demons are still there, but locked away in a cage.
