My Heart Box

Forgotten treasures

There is a box in my heart with a golden lock.

It’s embellished with jewels — rubies and emeralds which glisten in the light.

Now there’s moss on the box because I forgot about it for so long.

The Sun does not get into the crevasses anymore.

The other day, I felt the weight of the box.

And a pale memory of being barefoot in the forest.

Do I need a crowbar to pry it open?

Wait, whispers the fairy. Be gentle, my child.

Now what?

Tend to your precious life.

But how?

Force will not unlock the box.

Just hold this box.

As I am holding it — I feel the Silent. Screams. Inside.

Heart is Breaking Open.

Innocence

I am Home.

Lovely, Ute, and a beautiful way to think about the existential questions we all have about life and happiness and that we all miss those innocent days. Gotta grow up, but why?
