Hug me

for I long to be squeezed

with

just enough gentle pressure

to feel safe

and loved

and enough

and-

stop. squeezing.

squishing.

too much pressure

suffocating

you are squeezing me

wrong

I do not know how

or why

only that it is wrong

let me go

stop

STOP

you have squeezed too much

and now my heart

has

popped

They’re just words

I’m arranging in an order

And yet somehow

Nothing else is harder.
