Music: Our Beast Of Burden
If Only I Could Rap Like Eminem
I'm a generational time traveler
following the rhythm and the base
Worn a path from 1970 to current 2024
letting music pull me back to places
I think I've visited before
Different vibes and different faces
keeping me connected to the underscore
Revisiting my childhood stages
strolling memories with McCarney and Wings
Hitting a concert with my children
singin' anything that Hozier sings
The Doobie Brothers and Steve Miller
Hall and Oates and Don Mclean
Finger Eleven, Zac Brown and Weezer
Ambassadors and Townsend Band
The Monkeys singing, I'm a believer
or Beetles, I wanna hold your hand
there is no time to name them all
but if you want to travel too
just tune in on the radio dial
and let the music help you move

Oooo, this was so awesome! Loved your poem!
How true are your words in this one.
This is great. Seems we have a lot of same tastes in music.
My path goes a bit farther back, but this is definitely relateable!
Ha! My car radio is tuned to classic rock right now! Love it and your poem.
The 70s is my primary era for music. But like you I like music from all eras. I even go back to as early as the 1920s up to the current day. Thank you for sharing this fun romp through music.
Great work though 👏 Love it
A lot of those in my collection, but I am listening to "Prometheus" by Carl Orff, which is quite strange but I will get through it I am sure. Great poem
