There’s a sparkle in her eyes in the morning
And laughter that escapes without warning
💕
Her aura always radiates power
She will come running, regardless of the hour
💕
Her strong, soothing hand on her child’s back
Unshakeable determination to fend off any attack
💕
Determined refusal to surrender to pressure
Absolute certainty that she knows better
💕
She has sacrificed her own comfort
But wouldn’t hesitate to, once again, put forth the effort
💕
She knows her child is capable and strong
But she also knows when something is wrong
💕
She has never hidden the truth, even when it wasn’t easy
Now she knows her offspring understands the value of honesty
💕
She has given comfort at every age
But she also knows when it’s time to turn the page
💕
She knows that she has succeeded in her chore
When her child needs her no more
💕
But she will always be there just in case
With a kind word and patient smile on her face
💕
Author’s note: This poem is based on my own experiences with motherhood. Everyone should have the experience of being loved unconditionally. Even if that experience is provided by someone other than a mother.
