the lovely full moon in June
looks good enough to eat with a spoon
full of joy and delight
I just might take a bite
at the very least, I’ll probably swoon
June’s strawberry moon on display
with the sweetest of smiles on his face
beauty beyond what we deserve
like a fruit filled preserve
if given the chance, I would taste
June’s full moon like a soft pudgy pie
with the tastiest filling inside
toasted over the heat
nothing else could compete
when the moon hits you right in the eye
June’s moon making lovers fall fast
in the shadows, its light softly casts
kisses shared between lovers
while the moon hides under cover
behind clouds till the moment has passed
