If you can't beat them, write with them

The middleman. The average Joe. A goldilocks guy — never high, never low.

Always in the middle, he’s a steady flow. Neither too fast nor too slow.

Between a rock and a hard place, on the middle floor. He’s not got nothing, but he could want more.

But content he remains, with what he has in store. Living life with a smile, never seeking to score.

A jack-of-all-trades, mastery’s overdone. He doesn’t need a lot. Just enough, and he’s won.

Simple pleasures are his joy, under the moon and sun. In his heart, he knows, his battles are won.

About the Creator

em

I’m a writer, a storyteller, a lunatic. I imagine in a parallel universe I might be a caricaturist or a botanist or somewhere asleep on the moon — but here, I am a writer, turning moments into multiverses and making homes out of them.

I see you like to introduce yourself by pronouncing your name backwards. I've been introducing myself as Ydnar Enyaw Kconk ever since college & Ydnar Enyaw Kconk-Nosilllej ever since getting married. I'm assuming ChatGPT produced what's in italics?
