In a room adorned with lace and bows,
I was gifted to a girl, fresh and rose,
Her laughter painted joy on every seam,
I was her solace in a childhood dream.
She hugged me tight, her trusted friend,
My fur, a haven where her sorrows end.
Through tea parties and bedtime tales,
I basked in love, where happiness prevails.
Days turned to years, time slipped away,
The world changed hues, but in her heart, I stay.
Yet, wear and tear started to show,
Stitches loosened, with a subtle blow.
I lost my shine, my once bright glow,
My stitched smile now a faded show.
Abandoned in corners, no longer adored,
I sensed the shift, a tale ignored.
Tossed in a box, memories encased,
Forgotten whispers, time erased.
Lonely nights echoed silent cries,
A broken bear with tear-stained eyes.
From cherished toy to discarded heap,
I lie forgotten, lost in sleep.
Yearning for hands to hold me tight,
But time, unkind, dims the light.
Now amidst debris, I lay unseen,
A tale of joy turned grim and mean.
Once cherished, now just dismay,
A teddy bear's fate, the price to pay.
