Life is short, smile while you still have teeth 🎭
acrostic - On Real Poetic's anniversary
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY RP
🎭
As an evidential and existential attestation of
Now being the winter of our discontent
Now when reflection on the current state of our affairs
Incurs not the glorious warmth of the summer sun
Varying are all the clouds that form upon our weary brows
Every knight who once rode in upon barbed steeds
Reclines now capering nimbly in other lady's bed chambers
Such raw feelings of being cheated by a dissembling father time, lives
Amidst unfinish’d symphonies sent to mock and jeer our fall from grace
Rise, ye treacherous wanton hearts, linger not on what might have been with drunken prophecies. Libels and unfulfilled dreams shall fade away
Yet will we still live ferociously between the “winter” of discontent and the “glorious summer” reflecting the changing fortunes with intrigue. Life is short, smile while you still have teeth!!!!

This was soooo freaking powerful! Loved your take on this challenge!
As an old guy, I'm glad I still have most of mine. It does make smiling easier.
Let's not talk about 'winter' in a glorious June!

Amazing work!! Loved the inspirational message behind it!
Grow old gracefully with gratitude; not everyone gets a chance to make a wrinkle in time. Wonderful concept and clever acrostic!
The final line, "Life is short, smile while you still have teeth," is an unexpected yet powerful reminder to find joy in the present moment, even amid life's vicissitudes.... Magnificent poem....I liked it😊
