When darkness closes in and fears arise

And death's cold shadow looms before my eyes

I cry out to the world with all my might

"Let me live, let me savor life's delight"

For life is precious, fleeting, and so dear

Each moment's a gift, a treasure to hold near

I yearn to bask in sunshine's warm embrace

And feel the thrill of love, the joy of the race

Let me live, let me laugh, let me love and grow

Let me explore the world, and all its secrets know

Let me experience all that life can bring

And in its beauty, find my heart's wings

And when my time on earth is finally done

Let me look back on a life well-lived, and won.
