Leave behind

Life lessons

By Gregory AndersonPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

All the world experiences

Love and loss we try to calculate the cost

For every lost friendship or faded love

We search the heavens for answers above

When we stay to long trying to reclaim tainted love

So much we lost weighs upon our mind as we try to cope with what we leave behind

Every soul bares the scars

As we try to connect with the things we are seeing

Thinking why is so hard connecting to another human being

In life there will be many lessons some so good you will call them blessings

If you are afraid to step out for fear of the unknown

Your destiny is what you will leave behind by the seeds you have sown

Fear like a root that will leave you isolated and feeling alone

Freedom of thought seems unchained and free

Being told what you can and can’t say how free can it be

Hating the one who broke your heart the pain you experience is not the biggest part

It may sound contrite but true regardless of whatever they did it only hurts you

The lesson is simple it could be carved in stone Even if you are by yourself you are never alone

Wisdom is eternal and challenges our mind

Many who came before left us knowledge behind

We walk blind and try to see

Searching our mind trying to find what we leave behind
