My Bedtime Fairytale

It’s the same

old story.

Your sob story.

Your success story.

Your cover story.

Every one

a tall story.

I build

a back story

and a story line

to understand,

but long story

short,

it’s all

in my head,

and in the story arc,

it’s the end

of the story.

Fair Enough

When is

enough is enough?

I should know,

though oddly enough

I don’t.

I learned

to leave well enough

alone

and good enough

is never

actually

good enough.

But maybe that’s

not enough

and there’s time enough

to unlearn.

Forget

enough said

and love withheld,

(it was never enough)

and move on.

Sure enough.
